I hope all of you enjoyed the Memorial Day Weekend and holiday. I know it was a nice break from testing for many of our students. Our fifth and eighth graders return to one more day of testing today, and we have a group of eighth-grade students testing tomorrow. Otherwise, any students who missed EOG assessments last week will complete make-ups. Thank you to everyone who has supported us as a proctor! We appreciate the time you take to help.
We will host our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast this Friday, June 3rd, at 8:30 and hope many of you will be able to attend. Please join us so we may express our thanks for all you do for students and teachers throughout the school year.
We will host celebration ceremonies for our eighth and fifth-grade students on Thursday, June 9th. The eighth-grade celebration begins at 10:00, and the fifth-grade celebration begins at 1:00. Extended family members are welcome to attend the eighth-grade celebration; for the fifth-grade celebration, we ask only immediate family attend. We look forward to honoring the hard work and successes of these students as they transition to the next phases of their education.
Parents of rising first through fifth graders, information about your child’s unique learning needs is important in making appropriate placement, and you have an opportunity to share information you believe may be helpful. Please print, complete and return the parent input form by June 9, 2016 at 3:00. Requests to be placed with specific teachers or specific students will not be honored. Please be aware that there are many factors we must consider in making classroom placements. Your input will be considered along with the needs of the entire grade level to form classrooms that will provide the most productive learning environments for all students.
Have a great week.
